econet annual strategy partner meeting

econet china invited all its partners for an annual strategy meeting on December 7th on the premises of AHK Shanghai.

This second partner’s meeting in 2012 firstly offered a reporting session of the previous activities around the year. econet partners provided feedback on their participation in joint activities, including the econet branded salons in the 2nd tier cities Hefei and Shenyang, a project meeting with Shanghai Tower, monthly training workshops at GECC, a study tour for Chinese developers and design institutes to Germany and the monthly econet monitor. Meanwhile, the partner companies also gave constructive suggestions about the adaptation of existing event formats and new developments. A short market assessment was conducted through feedback questionnaires during the meeting.

Through the respective department heads in Beijing and Shanghai, Mr Soeren Puerschel and Ms Nadine Ulrich, econet also presented its strategic planning for activities in 2013, which will include some branded events and new strategic public projects. For example, the econet newly launched project “Energiewende goes China” is aimed to increase the energy efficiency in industry buildings through a combination of solution provider, financing & marketing support.

Followed by an intensive discussion, Ms.Liu Wen from Qingdao's Sino-German Eco Park was invited to introduce the latest developments and open opportunities for econet partners as German green solution providers to engage into this large scale project. Some showcase projects are open for interested companies, which are invited to address Ms Liu directly.

Industry partners took this unique opportunity to meet and exchange on respective strategic activities to create synergies and facilitate joint industry developments among the network. This meets econet’s initial idea for creating the initiative as an information, networking and marketing platform, by which each partner seats as a board member and is able to directly influence activities and strategic planning.

Thanks to our active and supportive partners, econet china has been steadily growing over the past 6 years and has built up a strong consortium of green solutions providers along the value chain of green building and low carbon city planning, as well as other areas, such as the solar industry, waste and water activities etc.. We wish to strengthen the joint efforts with more interested industry partners for promoting the Sino-German cooperation in sustainability in the future.
