6th Shanghai International Green Building & Energy Efficiency Conference


In the frame of the 2013 Shanghai Green Building Technology Week and GBC 2013, the 6th International Green Building & Energy Efficiency Conference Shanghai was held on October 10th. As the most influential academic event on green building in Shanghai, it gathered over 500 international experts and industry delegates to exchange on the latest solutions and best practices.

All of the most important green building & energy efficiency technology supporting units in Shanghai, such as the XianDai Architectural Group, Tongji University, the Eastern China Architectural Design Group, etc, were co-organizers of the conference.

The subject of the conference was “Greening, Transforming, Upgrading”. It was accompanied by five sub-forums, which are “Planning & Development of Low-Carbon Urban”, “Appropriate Technology & Industry Development”, “Assessment of Green Building Operation”, “Building Energy Efficiency Management & Renovation”, and “Sustainable Building Science – 2013 Science & Technology Event of Shanghai Building Science Research Institution”. Forums mainly emphasized on the high-level implementation and post-evaluation of green building and energy efficiency projects, regional appropriate technology and solutions for building system, and the industry internship achievements.


The Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Shanghai and econet china were invited by the organizer Shanghai Construction & Transportation Committee and Shanghai Green Building Council to be the strategic partners. As keynote speaker, Mr. Stefan Schirmer from the German Energy Agency (dena) was invited.
