Training on Applied German Green Building Concepts for China - Passive House Knowledge & Technology held in GECC

The German Chamber of Handicrafts Trier (HWK Trier), Europe and Innovation centre Co., Ltd. (EIC Trier), Concrete Plant + Precast Technology (BFT) organized a training session for Applied German Green Building Concepts for China - Passive House Knowledge & Technology in cooperation with econet china in GECC on 15 January, 2014. 

Around 40 senior managers and professionals from German and Chinese architecture design institutes, project management companies, real estate developers, building material providers and research institutes attended the event.

Mr. Herbert Bee from BFT shared his understanding on the concept of passive house and his rich experiences in the application of the concept from participation at actual projects in Germany. When talking about the practice of passive house in Germany, he emphasized, “The building of a passive house starts from the design phase through fully integrating PH concept in every detail of the house, including the design of the walls, roof, floor, windows, doors, etc.”

Mr. Karel Kriz from HWK Trier introduced the Chamber of Handicrafts Trier and the educational system for qualified construction professionals in Germany. According to Mr. Kriz, it takes 3 years to train a qualified construction worker in Germany.

The training provided a learning and communication platform for the professionals of the energy efficient & green building industry and the participants also got a sense of the advanced training systems in Germany for professional construction workers.
