econet Partners and World Fortune 500 Greenland Group Looking for Cooperation


On 17 September, World Fortune 500 Company, Greenland Group shared their insights into green buildings development in China with over 20 econet partners in an exclusive econet salon.

“As early as 2010, Greenland has taken energy-efficiency as one of its strategic priorities. All key projects of Greenland has been required to be implemented in accordance with the national green buildings standards and with an energy consumption reduction up to 65% in comparison with the industry standards”, stated by Mr. Wei Kun, technical director of the Green Industrialization Centre.

To backup the strategy, Greenland has also issued and implemented a package of measures to guarantee the fulfillment of the green target, such as promoting the development and application of green technologies within the Group, the development of low-carbon community and the strengthening of buildings’ life circle, among others. “Whole-life-circle building is one of the models we are experimenting with. Instead of building and selling apartments with fixed internal arrangements, we are trying to provide apartments that can well fulfill the customers’ needs for a whole life circle with more flexibility. ” shared by Wei. It is estimated that over 60 Greenland projects will acquire the Green Buildings Certification this year.

The German delegation, including energydesign (DGNB Consultancy & Certifier) , FTA (Building & urban design), MUDI (Building Design & Urban Planning), Rehau (Heating & Cooling, PV Windows, Renewable Energy), Rheinzink (Titanium Zinc Coils & Sheets, Facade & Roof Cladding), SGL (Air conditioning), Steinel (Intelligent lighting), Sto (EIFs system, coating & acoustic ceiling), Unilux (Windows & doors), Wacker (EIFs raw materials), Warema (Sun Shading), Ytong (Autoclaved, aerated concrete wall solutions), all had the opportunity to share with Greenland and other partners their core services and products with exceptional green features. 

Greenland also offered a guided tour to the econet parnters in its headquater, a dual ceritified project with both LEED Gold and China Three-star labelling. The salon ended with an active exchange on possible cooperation opportunities between the two parties.
