econet china Participated in the Second Plenary Strategy Meeting of the Passive House Alliance China (PHAChina)

As one of the standing member organizations of the PHAChina, econet china participated in the second plenary meeting since its establishment on June 9th-10th at Landsea headquarter in Nanjing.

The PHAChina was officially launched on January 12th, 2015 in Changxing. As an international industry initiative, it aims at promoting the passive building concept and at developing applicable passive building standards in China to achieve low energy consumption and high comfort of buildings, in order to enrich the social and economic value of buildings in the local market.

Until now, over 40 organizations have joined PHA China, comprising experts and solution providers in architectural design, green building technology, green building certification, research institutes, industry organizations, consultancies, the media etc. 2 working groups were defined by representatives of the member companies to develop collaborations to promote PHAChina.

During the past six months, the marketing working group has designed logos, promotional materials and media channels for the alliance, held passive house training, organized a delegation of members to attend the global passive house conference in Leipzig in April and shared China’s efforts in learning and promoting the passive house concept. Meanwhile, led by the Shanghai Research Institute of Building Science, the technical working group has started drafting technical parameters for a new residential project of Landsea in Nanjing as a basis to further formulate a passive house standard in China’s hot summer & cold winter regions. They also established a cooperation mechanism for projects among the members in the alliance. The previously accomplished PHI certified Bruck Passive House will also serve as good reference to explore new practices of the passive house standard.
