German Green Building Business Delegation Visit China under Energy Efficiency Export Initiative

On December 8th 2014 econet china | German Industry & Commerce Shanghai, oav (German Asia - Pacific Business Association) and Baden-Wuerttemberg International jointly organized a business delegation focused on energy efficiency in buildings in China under the export initiative program, which is supported by Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.

The German government has been closely involved in supporting the global dissemination and transfer of technologies for green buildings under the framework of Energy Efficiency Export Initiative Programs. The program provides German products, systems and service providers in the field of Energy Efficiency with a great opportunity to introduce their solutions to the Chinese market, as well as meet with the key industry players including Chinese authorities, design institutes and developers.

Nadine Ulrich, Head of econet china, German Industry & Commerce opened the conference with a warm welcome to the business delegation and all participants. Emrah Camli, regional manager of OAV - German Asia-Pacific Business Association gave a detailed introduction to the Export Initiative and also the German companies in the delegation. 

Following the opening section, German companies from the delegation and experts in the industry from China and Germany shared their insights with around 100 audiences. Stefan Schirmer, Architect from German Energy Agency gave an overview of the status quo of Energy Efficiency & Green Building Standards in Germany. “ the major measures for improving building energy efficiency in Germany are three folds, including laws and regulations from the government, financial incentives and market tools,” shared by Schirmer. Zhang Yin, Vice Director of the Green Building Consultancy Center, China Academy of Building Research, introduced the Latest Version of 3 Star Certification System for Green Buildings of China with case studies.

As a market pioneer of green building industry in China, Landsea shared their experiences in passive house development with a Sino-German cooperation project - Bruck Passive Hotel in Changxiang, Zhejiang Province.

Five companies from Germany in the field of green buildings introduced their products and services to the Chinese audience.

Lichtvision Design & Engineering Co.,Ltd presented their Outstanding  Lighting Concepts as Energy Efficient Solutions
